Slow me down, your soul turns a light on/ I don't feel so much these days since I drowned in work that eats me up & spits me out the other side. All the days that pass me by are harder without you to show me all the laughter/ don't you know your tide carries me where I want to go? Sitting on our sandy seats, marzipan on the wattle breeze/ dog & ball bounce in the mud lying by our side. By the waterside we sit & don't care/ with the cliff-spray hanging in the cool air/ say you will be here with me forever & a day. Sharing grapefruit, eyes fixed on the sea/ talk about what we could be/ thinking of the past, tears run down your face. Under autumn stars we thought were ours/ you lie still on moving dunes/ your hand resting on mine. Yellow flowers bloom against our backs/ this is all I ever dreamed of, don't move away. Oh don't move away from here again. Slow me down your soul turns a light on/ warmth I feel all day since I found you were here by my side all along. Under autumn stars we thought were ours/ you lie still on moving dunes/ this is all I ever dreamed of.

Stared for a while. Managed a smile. We caught a cab- Free ride for a mile. Thought I'd be with her forever, 'cos she seemed a little bit clever. When she talked I could stayed all day. & Oh I had to see her more, I had to see her. Didn't need guts to see her In fact it was her idea. Stood in my room was bewildering & oh yeah we were inseparable, doing cartwheels on Aberdeen Beach in the cold. Peas in a pod Pigeons in a tree Like nothing else existed in the world. In Cafe Continental She seemed a little mental. Her focus on marshmallows was not normal to me, & oh yeah how she made me laugh & how she carried it off, not knowing it would last. Just goes to show You never know What's up along the road So keep in mind when you catch someone's eye Could be the one that you're with 'til you die. Just goes to show You never know What's up along the road.

The 'Raer 02:53
Been up all night & we're feeling it, Feeling sick. Morning comes & it's miserable, beautiful. What a place Stings your face. & oh so raw The folk fought All night. Don't care what you think Just want a drink Keep them coming. Energy out to sea Dreams land on the sand. & so angry, swept away, to nothing, nothing. Admit you want these people more. You moved away but missed the roar. In your face so careering Oh land of poets get the beers in. Morning comes & it's beautiful, beautiful.

Lost your crown You always wear a frown. Hold your tongue It's too late. Your heart is sinking as you realise Been here too long to look in her eyes But it's all you know Reap what you sow All you ever seem to do is repeat. Repeat. Frost comes through Her window onto you. Hairs on end You stay put. Staying with her should have been easy. Eyes hypnotised you completely. & you want to change Mend & re-arrange it. Want to make it better But you fail to. Fail you.
