Days like this when the spade feels heavier than usual and your weary eyes lead you to grip thistles, snapping you sharply out of your sun drenched stupor. Days like this when gratitude for all you ever lost slowly recedes into the soil, to flourish again after the crackling frosts have relented. Days like this when you choose to be blinded by the sun, nourishing the discomfort a little longer, knowing you may be distanced all too soon. Days like this when you hold your aching back, stare into the sky and whisper;
"I wish i was a goose".
