Stared for a while.
Managed a smile.
We caught a cab- Free ride for a mile.
Thought I'd be with her forever, 'cos she seemed a little bit clever.
When she talked I could stayed all day. & Oh I had to see her more, I had to see her.
Didn't need guts to see her
In fact it was her idea.
Stood in my room was bewildering & oh yeah we were inseparable, doing cartwheels on Aberdeen Beach in the cold.
Peas in a pod
Pigeons in a tree
Like nothing else existed in the world.
In Cafe Continental
She seemed a little mental.
Her focus on marshmallows was not normal to me, & oh yeah how she made me laugh & how she carried it off, not knowing it would last.
Just goes to show
You never know
What's up along the road
So keep in mind
when you catch someone's eye
Could be the one that you're with 'til you die.
Just goes to show
You never know
What's up along the road.
